So, if you’re looking at this blog, you probably know what Japanese animation is. It’s a realistic cartoon-like drawing of people. But did you know that there are actually multiple types of anime? Yes, there is manga style, chibi, you probably get the idea. Let’s go over them!
1. Chibi
Chibi is a smaller, cuter version of anime. They often have large heads and big eyes. They barely have noses, and are funny looking. They can be silly, and dumb.
2. Super stylized chibi
A super-stylized chibi is a more Japanese version of chibis. Their eyes are closer to their mouths, and their poses can often have more attitude, depending on their gender. They are cute!
3. Chibi-like manga
These are cuter versions of manga characters, but they don’t have large heads and small bodies like chibis. Those are my favorite types of anime.
5. Manga
This is more of the teenage version of anime. It looks more realistic, but still cartoony. The women are usually very pretty, and you will find this type in comics. The eyes are small, and the nose is long.
